CARE - Cancer Awareness Remedial Education is an initiative dedicated to tackling the pressing issue of cancer in women and children across India.
In India, cancer remains a significant public health challenge, particularly among women and children. Despite advancements in medical science, the prevalence of cancer continues to rise, impacting lives and families nationwide.
Women in India face unique challenges when it comes to cancer, including limited access to screening and treatment facilities, cultural stigmas surrounding the disease, and a lack of awareness about preventive measures. Additionally, children battling cancer often struggle to receive proper care and support, with limited resources available for pediatric oncology.
Activities under CAREMitra
Awareness Campaigns
We conduct awareness campaigns across communities, schools, and healthcare facilities to educate people about the risk factors, symptoms, and preventive measures related to cancer. Through workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions, we'll dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding the disease.
Screening Programs
We organize screening camps and mobile clinics to provide easy access to cancer screening services, particularly in underserved areas. By detecting cancer at an early stage, we aim to improve the chances of successful treatment and survival.
Support Services
CARE offers a range of support services to cancer patients and their families, including counseling, financial assistance, and access to essential resources.
